We did it!

Three weeks later.... poof! A park is built!

As part of T4G's 10 year anniversary, a number of us are getting involved in the community with the Project X program.

1967 is remembered as one of the most notable years in Canada, as it was our 100 year anniversary of Confederation. T4G would like it's Project X program to be inspired by some of the events that took place that year.

A goal of one of our co-workers is to get the Leaf's to win the Stanley Cup in '06. It happened in '67...

Another is to train disadvantaged youth in the community on how to use and develop software and technology.

Our group's effort was to build a playground. It happened at Sherbourne and Dundas on September 17, 2005 with lots of help from CanPlay, Toronto Community Housing, and Housing Services Inc.

Another event that will be announced shortly is an enormous fund-raising effort to support Portage.

The Portage Program is one of North America's leading organizations in the treatment of drug abuse and character disorders. The Portage treatment approach is based on the principles of the therapeutic community: people helping people and self-help. The treatment centres are designed to ensure the physical and psychological safety essential to the recovery process. A number of therapeutic techniques including role modelling, group and individual counselling and collaborative treatment planning are used to help residents change their behaviour. The ultimate aim of the program is personal growth and living drug-free.

If you feel that you can help us, please contact Portage or T4G via the information at www.t4g.com and Portage.

Thanks to all who are reading this page and help us to celebrate 2005 in Canada and abroad by giving to your community and the people who need it most.
