ISLANDIA, N.Y., August 20, 2003 — Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is partnering with KaBOOM!, a nonprofit organization, and more than 600 employee volunteers, community members and customers to build three playgrounds today to benefit more than 6,000 children in the New York Metropolitan area. Each playground is being built with a community organization that has demonstrated the need for a safe, accessible and well-designed recreation area for children.
CA and KaBOOM! have been building playgrounds for children throughout the United States since 2000. By the end of today, 19 playgrounds will have been built to benefit 60,000 children. The organizations plan to complete 45 playgrounds by next year.
